So, I'd like to to tell you a little story. It's the backbone to this whole operation. I was overweight and obese for most of my life, even as a child. Now, I was active and played sports, but still I was larger than other kids. I had a very poor diet and no one to show me how to eat the right way. As a 10 year old girl, I was put on a diet. It didn't work. From that point on, I tried everything I could to lose weight. As I got into high school, I developed an eating disorder. The eating disorder did nothing but help support emotional eating and poor eating habits. I gave up on diets and I gave up on exercise. I gave up on myself. I grew until I reached at least 260 pounds at the age of 32 (it could have been more, but I stopped weighing myself). I even thought about gaining more weight so I'd qualify for weight loss surgery. I was miserable with every part of my life. I woke up on the morning of April 24, 2010 and made the decision that I was done with living miserably. So, I took it upon myself and figured out how to lose the weight in a healthy manner. I learned about processed foods and added sugar. I learned about portion control and eating 'clean'. As I changed my diet, I was able to change my activity level and eventually lost over 100 pounds. Now, I can live my life actively, healthfully and full. I tell you this because I am not going to try to sell you any products. I am not here to push a certain diet or that certain foods are 'bad'. I want to be able to share with you the knowledge I've gained about losing weight, gaining muscle, losing fat and fueling for certain athletic activities. In order to share that with you, I needed to become certified...so I did.
